As reported Redorbit, Wednesday (12/26/2012), high resolution image (1.5 meters / 5 feet per pixel) shows that Martian craters that appeared was due to hit the meteor. In the crater image also displays details of deposition on the surface of Mars.

Crater "Lonely Martian" is not the biggest crater on Mars. The crater is located near a large crater, Newcomb, north Noachis Terra.
