Electronic Arts cooperation with GlassLab will release SimCityEDU game. Game is suitable for teachers to create a school-based game SimCity.
SimCity was developed by Maxis is a building simulation game that brings the city. In the game, the students in the USA can learn more about the issue of problems faced by modern cities.
Quoted from Gamesindustry, Sunday (20/01/2013), Senior Vice President and General Manager of EA Maxis, Lucy Bradshaw said, "For decades, SimCity has been appointed by the education community as an interesting game."
He further said that the game is able to provide a powerful learning experience. In addition, the game SimCityEDU can teach problem-solving skills through simulation gameplay imaginative civic or citizenship.
Lucy also said, through a partnership with GlassLab, SimCity will be the basis of a program to deliver learning that will hopefully inspire young people today. Students who like the STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) will be very suitable if playing this game.
"We want to raise the educational influence of SimCity," he said. Lucy hopes, students could be a problem solver for the problems faced in the future.
Game SimCityEDU not knew exactly when it will be launched. Reportedly, the game that can be played on Microsoft Windows operating system (PC) and OS X will begin to be released March 5, 2013.
