Hyundai Designed The Connectivity Of Smartphone And Cars

Carmaker Hyundai broke new ground by designing the connectivity between smartphones and automotive technology. The concept is planned to be applied to Hyundai products in 2015, a system that integrates mobile technology in order to operate the functions of the car.

Smartphone technology can later be connected to the infotainment system of the car using a Bluetooth connection. Hyundai will use NFC (Near Field Communication) which allows the driver to lock and unlock the car simply by waving their smartphones in addition to the car window.

When in the car, the driver can put the smartphone in the center console. The concept of connectivity allows the driver to synchronize content from smartphones to the car and to display that content in the center 7 inch touch screen car console.

The concept of connectivity can be run on the model of Hyundai i30 and the driver can store personal desires such as determining your favorite radio stations, seating position, setting the glass doors and more.


Senior Vice President of Hyundai, Allan Rushford, said that the technology was designed to take advantage of the technology function all-in-one smartphone and integrate the activities of daily driving with ease. Hyundai developed the concept of connectivity along with the semiconductor company Broadcom Corporation.
